Graeme Vaughan

Graeme Vaughan studied psychology, sociology and social work before photography. In his ‘urban notebooks’, produced as self-published, hand-made books, he explores the meaning we give to environments through our everyday lives. He was awarded Shots Young Photographers 2010 and SUNrise awards for emerging photography talent working in the UK northern regions 2009. His recent exhibitions include: Warsaw: a notebook (CUBE Manchester 2009), Palermo: a notebook (PIY, Nogent-sur-Marne, Paris 2010), Prague: a notebook (Truman Brewery, London 2010), and Derby Detective Agency (Format International Photography Festival Commission, Derby 2011).
