Katia Porter

 

Katia Porter is an artist and independent photographer, currently working in the USA. She studied at the University of Bolton, Sheffield Hallam University and Central Connecticut State University.  Her work has been exhibited in both the US and Britain. Previous projects have focused on the spectacle of power and its associated iconography; photographing hidden, often male worlds through projects working with police forces in the UK and the USA. She is working on a book project on Manchester’s Northern Quarter and a personal project exploring her family roots in the USA.
