Paul McCann

Paul McCann is co founder and director of Twin Vision, a registered charity set up by Paul and his twin brother Gary in 2000. Twin Vision utilises the creative media of photography, video and animation to offer a platform for expression and has delivered work on an international scale since its inception. Paul’s career has encompassed a varied an eclectic approach with Paul working in a pro photography Lab in the Olympic village in Sydney, self funding and delivering a major international photography project right through to developing himself as a recognised audio and video practitioner and multi media experimentalist who continually challenges his approach to all the medium he works with. Current Work: Moving Voices – A Collaboration with the Irish Travelling Community giving a unique insight into the heritage and personal stories of Irish Traveller families on Merseyside. This residency will see a large body of work including candid images both sourced from the family album and documentary, short films created by the community themselves and also a documentary of the process taken as well as a series of animations reflecting important cultural oral histories passed on through generations. The resulting work will be toured in summer 2011.
