Phil McAllister has worked within the funeral industry for 16 years as an embalmer. Recently he has undertaken to photograph the various contexts of this very private and rarely seen business. The extraordinary men and women who are in daily contact with tragedy and loss still manage to come up smiling. This exhibition will attempt to capture the human face and resilience of these people and their surroundings.
