Hui Yi Lu celebrates the intimate and the personal within Liverpool’s Chinese community through the large scale and the miniature. Following a series of photographic workshops with the Chinese community, held in partnership with The Pagoda Centre and FACT Media Centre, skills were learnt and stories were shared resulting in a series of 20 cinematic images . These large scale photographs, displayed across the city will be juxtaposed with a miniature photographic story told inside fortune cookies. These cookies will be distributed throughout the Look11 Festival and can also be obtained by contacting the artists aul McCann paul@twinvisionphoto.co.uk and Leila Romaya, leila@straycatmedia.org so you may have your own personal exhibition to take home!
This project was supported by Liverpool City Council and Look11.
